My exchange isn't listed — can I still use Tradex? *** ## Creating and Connecting an API Key per Exchange Tradex only requests **read-only** permissions, so it **cannot place trades or access your funds — your account stays safe.** ## Binance To connect a Binance account, you need two credentials: an **API Key** and an **API Secret**. 1. Log in to Binance, then open your profile at the top right and click **Account**. [Binance]2

2. On the **API Management** page, click the **Create API** button at the top right. [Binance]3

3. For the API type, select **System generated** at the top. [Binance[4

4. Enter any name for the API and complete the verification. [Binance]5

5. Select **Enable Reading** as shown above, and the API key is created. 6. Copy and save your **API Key** and **Secret Key**, then enter them when connecting your exchange in Tradex. **The Secret Key is only shown once, at creation time — make sure to save it.**
(If you lose the key, create a new one and reconnect.) ## Bybit To connect a Bybit account, you need two credentials: an **API Key** and an **API Secret**. [Bybit]1

1. Log in to Bybit, then open your profile at the top right and click **API**. [Bybit]2 1

2. On the **API Management** page, click the **Create New Key** button at the top right. [Bybit]3

3. For the API type, select **System-generated API Keys** at the top. [Bybit]4

4. Select **API Transaction**. 5. Enter any name for the API. 6. In the permission settings, select **Read-Only** and **No IP restriction**. [Bybit]6

7. Check every item exactly as shown in the screenshot. 8. Submit and complete the verification, and the API key is created. 9. Copy and save your **API Key** and **Secret Key**, then enter them when connecting your exchange in Tradex. **The Secret Key is only shown once, at creation time — make sure to save it.**
(If you lose the key, create a new one and reconnect.) ## Bitget To connect a Bitget account, you need three credentials: an **API Key**, an **API Secret**, and a **Passphrase**. [Bitget]1

1. Log in to Bitget, then open your profile at the top right and click **API Keys**. [Bitget]2 1

2. On the **API Keys** page, click the **Create New Key** button at the top right. [Bitget]3

3. For the API type, select **System-generated API Key** at the top. [Bitget]4

4. Enter any name for the API. 5. In the permission settings, select **Read-Only** and click **Select all** to check every item. 6. You can leave the **Bind IP Addresses** field empty. 7. Submit and complete the verification, and the API key is created. 8. Copy and save your **API Key** and **Secret Key**, then enter them when connecting your exchange in Tradex. **The Secret Key is only shown once, at creation time — make sure to save it.**
(If you lose the key, create a new one and reconnect.) ## OKX To connect an OKX account, you need three credentials: an **API Key**, an **API Secret**, and a **Passphrase**. [OKX] 1

1. Log in to OKX and click your **profile at the top right**. [OKX] 6

2. Click the **API and connections** page. [OKX] 7

3. Click the **Create New Key** button at the top right. [OKX] 9

4. Enter any name for the API. 5. Under **Permissions**, select **Read**. 6. You can leave the **Trusted IP access** field empty. 7. Set a **Passphrase** you'll remember, and write it down. 8. Submit and complete the verification, and the API key is created. 9. Copy and save your **API Key**, **Secret Key**, and **Passphrase**, then enter them when connecting your exchange in Tradex. **The Secret Key is only shown once, at creation time — make sure to save it.**
(If you lose the key, create a new one and reconnect.) ## Gate To connect a Gate account, you need two credentials: an **API Key** and an **API Secret**. [Gate] 1 1

1. Log in to Gate.io and click your **profile at the top right**. [Gate] 2

2. Click the **API Management** page. [Gate] 3

3. Click **Create API Key** at the top right. [Gate] 4 (1)

4. Set the account type to **Third-Party App**. [Gate] 9 2

5. Enter any name for the API. 6. Set **IP Permissions** to **Later**. 7. Set the **API Key Type** to **API v4 Key**. 8. Under **Permissions**, enable **Perpetual Futures** and **Margin Trading (Unified Account)**, and select **Read-Only**.
(If you also want to record spot trading data, enable Spot Trading as well.) 9. Click **Submit**. [Gate] 6 (2)

10. Agree to the terms. [Gate] 7 (1)

11. Complete the security verification and the **API key is created**. 12. Copy and save your **API Key** and **Secret Key**, then enter them when connecting your exchange in Tradex. **The Secret Key is only shown once, at creation time — make sure to save it.**
